Artist's Comments

For my final project in Beginning Digital Photo

Its one of two but the second isn't done yet.

I know that Alice stands out weird against the forest but I really wanted her to seem drastically out of place because she is not supposed to belong there.

the hole is too grey in comparison to the background. it pops out instead of looking like a hole.

and im tiny.

the trees look unnaturally large.
maybe thats why it looks funny?

i like the colouring of my outfit though.
or maybe that was just the lighting in your dinning room?

i like it anyway

I wanted the strangeness there and the hole to look like this odd portal thing. As for the small I wanted it to seem off and unnatural. I didn't want it to look like a forest I wanted it to be an unnatural wonderland. But I knew sadly that when I do critique Thursday that thats what everyone is going to say and I going to have to be like "But it's not supposed to be normal."
